Stone Mountain Technologies, Inc. announced that over 300 contractors and industry professionals had been trained as of July 2024. In partnership with manufacturing representatives across North America, in-person and virtual training sessions cover topics from site evaluation to installation and commissioning.
“The unique and advanced heat pump technology that drives our Anesi products has distinct differences from traditional equipment. It is essential that HVAC professionals learn these differences, then apply the HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing skills they already know for a successful installation,” said Bo DeAngelo, North American Service Manager at Stone Mountain Technologies, Inc. “I am excited to see how quickly my fellow trade professionals have embraced the technology. We are impressed by their desire to move the Anesi gas heat pumps into their territories and into their customers’ homes”.
The Anesi Gas Absorption Heat Pump is the first commercially available residential air-to-water heat pump operating on natural gas, propane, or renewable natural gas blends. It uses up to 50% less fuel and works at efficiencies well above 100%, even in below-zero temperatures. Unlike traditional furnaces and boilers, the Anesi gas heat pump and all refrigerants, combustion processes, and venting are outside.
“Residential space heating in cold climate geographies is a solution we are training for right now,” said DeAngelo. “But the gas heat pump is also an ideal solution for commercial water heating, and I look forward to training more professionals in that space very soon.”
